There could not have been a better time for the October prop bet odds to come out, what with all the NFL news in the past few days.

Inspired by our customers comes this month’s wackiest odd line: who will come back to the NFL first; Randy Moss or Terrell Owens?

These two wideouts have very different stories concerning their exits from the NFL. Terrell Owens is coming off of a fairly good statistical season in which he spent with the Cincinnati Bengals. Last year, T.O proved that he still has some gas left in the tank, as he totaled 983 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns, all the while outperforming Chad Ochocinco as the top threat in Cincy.

Plus, since his contract expired with the Bengals, the 37-year-old vet has long since stated that he would like to sign with any other team. So why has nobody yet knocked on the once-great wideout’s door?

Well, early in this offseason, Terrell Owens suffered a mysterious knee injury that tore his ACL. As a result he underwent surgery to repair his knee, which has created much concern in teams interested in his talent.

As for Randy Moss, his goodbye from the NFL tells a much different story. Everybody knows the story of Randy being on the roster of three teams last season, as his misdemeanors appeared to be too overwhelming for both Bill Belichick and Brad Childress.

Consequently, the unrestricted free agent did not receive any phone calls from any teams when the lockout ended and he officially became an unrestricted free agent. Then, not nearly two weeks later, Moss agent Joel Segal had publicly claimed that his client had retired from professional football after not receiving any satisfactory offers.

However, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted on September 25 that Randy Moss would like to come back to the NFL, but only for a list of a few selected teams including the New England Patriots. But, Schefter also said that Randy would not make any phone calls reaching out to teams, but would listen to what they had to say if he received any calls… just Randy being Randy I guess.

Very recently, though, the plot has thickened as it has become very obvious that New England Patriots’ top receiver Chad Ochocinco is not gelling with his quarterback Tom Brady. In his four targets in last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, Ochocinco caught two of them for 28 yards while the other two went for an interception and an awful drop that would have been a touchdown.
