Brett Favre came out of his two games against Green Bay last North Bet season with a couple of wins and even more touchdown passes.

In his first game ever against the Packers, Favre was dominant, completing 77.4% of his passes for 271 passing yards and three touchdowns. He wasn’t sacked and threw no interceptions, resulting in a 135.3 passer rating.

In his second game against the Packers, the 41-year-old quarterback trumped his previous performance, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns, without an interception or sack. Favre ended this NFC North bet contest with a 128.6 passer rating.

This Sunday will be Favre’s 130th career start in Lambeau Field and second as a Viking.

Although history indicates a promising showing from the future Hall of Fame quarterback, this season has been somewhat of a letdown so far for Minnesota.

The Vikings improved to 2-3 last week, beating the Cowboys by a field goal. Favre had one of his least productive games of the season, throwing for 118 yards and a touchdown. The best-performing wide receiver was Randy Moss who totaled just 5 receptions for 55 yards.

Favre’s disappointment last week is a microcosm of his entire performance thus far in 2010. He is averaging less than 200 yards per game, and thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. He maintains a 72.1 passer rater thus far this NFL betting online season.

In order for the Vikings to beat Green Bay this Sunday, it will be necessary for Favre to improve his game. After two straight games of just 14 completions, he evidently needs to connect more often with his talented wide outs. By doing so, Favre will enable Minnesota’s ground game (A.K.A. Adrian Peterson) to run for more than just 3 yards per carry.

If Favre can hook up with any of his highly talented wide receiver for more than five catches, the Vikings should walk out of Lambeau Field with a win.

Messina Mention: Favre has a 6-1 divisional record when playing as a Viking. His only loss was a Week 16 36-30 overtime loss to Chicago last NFL betting online season.
