Week 6 NFC North Bet – Miami Dolphins Visit Green Bay Packers

Posted by Marcello Messina on 10/17/2010 12:25:01 AM

An injured Aaron Rodgers is slated to start for the Green Bay Packers in this NFC north bet matchup. Here are the top 3 reasons why the Dolphins will cover (+3).

(2-2) Miami Dolphins at (3-2) Green Bay Packers
Live from Lambeau Field - Wisconsin
Kickoff: 1:00 PM EST Sunday, October 17, 2010
Broadcast: CBS

NorthBet NFL Game Odds:
Miami Dolphins +3
Green Bay Packers -3
Total 44

1. Miami’s Defense

With the exception of their last game against the New England Patriots, Miami’s defensive unit has actually been pretty solid.

They rank fourth against the pass, allowing just 181.5 passing yards per game.

The Dolphins have only given up five passing touchdowns so far this North Bet season, a substantial feat after playing against Tom Brady (9 TDs), Brett Favre (5) and Mark Sanchez (8).

2. Ricky Williams & Ronnie Brown

Brown and Williams have had to face some pretty stout run defenses this NorthBet season. The Dolphins have gone up against Minnesota (8th overall run defense), New York Jets (5th), and New England (11th).

Green Bay, currently ranks 15th against the run, allowing an average of over 100 rushing yards per game this North Bet season.

Expect the Miami running game to be effective against a Packers defensive unit that will be missing DT Ryan Pickett (ankle) and DE Cullen Jenkins (hamstring/hand).

3. Packers Injury Woes

With Aaron Rodgers (concussion), Pickett and Jenkins already nicked up, the Packers have had plethora of injuries to deal with this North Bet season.

Tight end Jermichael Finley is out for the year and his backup, Donald Lee, is also going to miss this week’s game with a chest injury.

Messina Mention: The Dolphins are 2-0 ATS in away games and 1-0 ATS as an underdog.

NFL North Bet: Miami Dolphins (-3).
