Stafford only played one full game this season, a 37-25 win in Week 8 against the Washington Redskins.

NorthBet Numbers: Detroit Lions are 7-1 ATS this season.

When the former 2009 first overall pick was able to play, he performed at an exceptional level this year. In his three starts this NorthBet NFL betting online season, Stafford threw six touchdowns and rushed for another.

Stafford played part of a Week 1 19-14 loss at the Chicago Bears before suffering his first shoulder injury this year, sidelining him for five games.

MLive reports that Stafford will be lost for the season after suffering a Grade 3 separation of his right shoulder – the same shoulder he injured earlier in the year.

The (2-6) Lions are forced to look to third-string quarterback Drew Stanton against the (0-8) Buffalo Bills this weekend, with backup Shaun Hill still nursing an arm injury.
