Broadcast: ESPN

NorthBet Numbers: The Minnesota Vikings are 4-9 ATS this season.

Just a few days after naming Tarvaris Jackson their starting quarterback, the Minnesota Vikings are set to place him on Injured Reserve.

Jackson suffered from a turf toe injury in his matchup last week against the New York Giants and had to step off the field twice to seek medical attention.

Brett Favre is also ailing from multiple injuries – the main reason why he sat out last game. Favre claimed that his right hand was his biggest issue, as his fingers were completely numb. The pre-game telecast also showed that his hand had turned a deep purple color.

Behind Favre and Jackson on the depth chart is rookie Joe Webb, who is also unhealthy. According to a source from ESPN, “Webb hurt his hamstring on December 5 against the Bills, and he’s a sixth-round draft pick whose athletic ability can’t mask the fact that he’s raw and inexperienced with running the offense.”

If Favre is unable to play for the second week in a row, Minnesota may be forced to start Patrick Ramsey, of whom the Vikings recently signed. Ramsey hasn’t taken a real-game snap since the 2008 NFL betting lines year.
