NFL Lines - Why The Raiders Make The Playoffs

Posted by Ashley Carmichael on 8/24/2011 2:58:45 PM

Of the Oakland Raiders eight losses in NFL lines 2011, six of them were by a touchdown or less.

With a year of added experience the Raiders have potential to win the majority of their close games.

On paper the Oakland Raiders have one of the fastest offensive teams in NFL Lines.  With a high-powered backfield and a ridiculously quick receiving core, the Raiders have a recipe for pure excitement.

The backfield is led by Darren McFadden, who catalyzed the Raiders to become the league’s second best rushing team with 155.9 yards in each contest.

McFadden rushed for 1,157 yards averaging 5.1 yards per carry last season.  In thirteen games started, McFadden had six one hundred yard rushing games.  If he can remain healthy, the Raiders offense has a lot of promise this upcoming year.

Furthermore, the Raiders receiving corp have the talent to be one of the best in the league.  The Oakland Raiders seem to draft the fastest guy they see every year.

Darrius Heyward-Bey was drafted first round in 2009 and ran a 4.30 forty-yard dash at the combine.  In 2011, the Raiders selected wide-out Louis Murphy who also runs a 4.30 forty.  But there’s more, in 2010’s draft the Oakland Raiders drafted Jacoby Ford, one of the fastest guys ever to enter the draft with a 4.28 forty.

But success all hinges back on quarterback, Jason Campbell.  Campbell had a good first season with Oakland in 2010 and is only looking better.

Campbell has proved in NFL Lines that he can be an elite passer (this guy has had two seasons where he threw for 3,000 plus yards)

Entering his sixth year, he is finally in a place where he can have control over a quality offense.  Expect great things from the Raiders this NFL lines year, and maybe a playoff berth.
