NFL Lines: Michael Vick’s Fantasy Value

Posted by Ashley Carmichael on 7/28/2011 1:41:23 PM

In his second year following a two-year stint in prison, Philadelphia’s quarterbacks Michael Vick revitalized the NFL Lines last season.

It seemed Michael Vick has come back healthy and in good as shape as he was when he left.  Now, 31, Vick has quickly reached the tops of many Fantasy Draft boards for 2011.

Michael Vick’s 2010 season marked his best of his career in passing statistics.  Vick had more completions last year than any of his other seasons as a starting quarterback.  Furthermore his completion percentage was the highest rating he has attained in his career, 62.6 percent.

According to NFL Lines last season marks as the only season Michael Vick has thrown for over 3,000 yards.  And he threw for 21 touchdowns, another career milestone.  All these achievements aren’t as important as his incredible passer rating.  Vick has had a season passer rating over 80 only once as a starter, and this season he accumulated a rating of 100.2, which put him in the league’s top four.

Michael Vick’s stock has been on a rise ever since his passing skills have grown.  But, the foot skills still remain, which gives Vick a greater advantage over all other quarterbacks in NFL Lines.  Vick rushed for 676 yards and ran in for a career high of 9 touchdowns in 2010.

This is evidence that Vick has not lost a step and is in serious contention for the number one overall fantasy drafts pick.
