NFL Lines
San Diego Chargers -7
Miami Dolphins +7
Total 44.5

5) San Francisco 49ers Over The Philadelphia Eagles
With the news of Michael Vick’s injury being a lot less serious than was initially thought, his status for next week’s game looks to be a game-time decision.  If Vick were absent however, the Eagles would have to rely further on their running game – a.k.a. LeSean McCoy – which would work to the 49ers’ advantage as they operate with a stronger ground defense.

Furthermore, whilst the Philadelphia’s true advantages lie in its offense – who’s effects may be greatly diminished with the absence of Michael Vick – its defense is a bit more vulnerable. Thus, most of the outcome of this NFL lines matchup will result on how the San Francisco’s offense performs and exploits the Eagles’ defense. Look out for a potential 49ers victory if the Eagles lose the vital cog to their offense and the 49ers capitalize on the opportunity of beating a ‘dream team’.

4) Denver Broncos Over The Green Bay Packers

This Broncos victory looks to be a bit of a stretch, but some deeper analysis and insight would support this unlikely scenario. NorthBet currently spreads the Packers at -12.5, but let’s take a look at how that spread could be shortened. Firstly, coach Denver’s head coach John Fox holds considerable defensive expertise of the kind that can stymie Aaron Rodgers. Fox endorses a solid 4-3 style and can provide for defensive creativity the likes of which can befuddle Green Bay’s offense.  As well, league veterans Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins will provide for substantial defensive forces on the Broncos’ secondary. Additionally, Denver’s offense should surprise a stumbling Packers pass defense that ranks 31st in the NFL. The Packers are a very strong team, but the Denver Broncos have what it takes to give them a run for their money.

3) Carolina Panthers Over The Chicago Bears

The Carolina Panthers are the clear underdogs for this game, with the spread at -6.5. Carolina head coach Ron Rivera, a defensive mastermind, should be able to come up with some strategies to reduce the effectiveness of a lagging Bears’ offense. As well, the current play of quarterback Cam Newton has been stellar, and Panthers’ tight end Greg Olsen should have a large impact as well. An aggressive defense and a patient offense should significantly aid the Panthers’ cause.

2) Indianapolis Colts Over The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Colts are the underdog for this game, though it would be a whole different situation if it were not for its catastrophic injury depleted situation. The Indianapolis Colts are a much weaker team without quarterback Peyton Manning in the lineup. However, in performing well in their 23-20 Week 3 loss to the Steelers, the Colts may well be on the ascendancy. Furthermore, the Buccaneers do not have any potentially powerful defensive weapons, so the possibility of the Colts taking this one is possible.

1) Miami Dolphins Over The San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers are the clear favorites in this matchup. Former Chargers linebacker Kevin Burnett will be able to provide his Dolphins’ teammates with some useful Intel concerning his old team. Furthermore, the Miami pass rush led by the energetic Cameron Wake should be able to apply some consistent pressure on Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers. The Dolphins have the tools – offensively and defensively – to cause the Week 4 upset.
