NFL Expert Pick – Washington Redskins Host Philadelphia Eagles

Posted by Marcello Messina on 11/11/2010 12:09:51 PM

Michael Vick is my NFL expert pick this weekend, as he gets another shot against Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins.

(5-3) Philadelphia Eagles at (4-4) Washington Redskins
Live from FedExField - MD
Kickoff: 8:30 PM EST Monday, November 15, 2010
Broadcast: ESPN

NorthBet NFL Betting Online:
Philadelphia Eagles -3
Washington Redskins +3
Total 41.5

Even though Donovan McNabb won his first NFL expert matchup versus the Philadelphia Eagles, it was probably his worst game of the season.

McNabb only completed 8 out of 19 attempts (42.1%), throwing one touchdown and a pick, posting a 60.2 passer rating.

Fortunately for the Redskins, their running game carried the offensive load, rushing 35 times (nearly 65% of downs).

In his first game as a starter, Washington running back Ryan Torain ripped apart the Eagles defense like it was the wrapping paper of a birthday present.

He averaged almost 4 yards per carry, gaining 70 yards on 18 rushing attempts, including a touchdown. Torain should repeat this effort on Monday night against a Philadelphia run defense that has been suspect (especially in the red zone).

Just last week, the Eagles gave up 2 rushing touchdowns to Indianapolis running back Javarris James in just his second career game. Philadelphia has given up 6 rushing touchdowns this year.

This NFL expert pick Monday, Washington should get Donovan McNabb more involved, facing a depleted Philadelphia secondary.

Andy Reid’s Eagles have allowed an average 215 passing yards per game this season, ranking 26th in the NFL surrendering 14 touchdowns through the air.

Having already beaten them in Philadelphia, the Redskins will defeat the Eagles yet again this NFL expert pick Monday.

Marcelo’s Prediction: Washington Redskins: 23, Philadelphia Eagles: 20

NFL Expert Pick: Washington Redskins (+3).
