NFL Expert Pick – Ride The Cowboys

Posted by Ashley Carmichael on 11/24/2010 3:55:43 PM

Since assistant coach Jason Garrett has taken over for Wade Phillips as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, the Cowboys have won two straight and are a legitimate threat to any team in the NFL. Experts pick them to make a run at the playoffs.

Dallas Cowboys (3-7) vs. New Orleans Saints (7-3)

NFL Expert Pick
Saints -3.5
Cowboys +3.5
Total 50.5

If you recall the 2009 New Orleans Saints started their 2009 season 13-0, and suffered their first loss against Dallas in Week 15.

Not too long ago the Dallas Cowboys were in turmoil sitting at 1-7.  Replacing their head coach, the Cowboys have produced more than 30 points per game the past two weeks.

With Tony Romo injured, 14-year veteran Jon Kitna has filled the role of starting quarterback.  Over the past two weeks Kitna has thrown for 474 yards and 6 touchdowns.

These Cowboys are beginning to trust one another more every week and don’t be shocked if they pull off a victory over the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Dallas Cowboys are 27-14 all-time on Thanksgiving Day, winning four straight since 2006.  Furthermore, this Thursday will be the New Orleans Saints debut on Thanksgiving Day, one of four teams who have yet to be featured.

Not used to the three-day break between Weeks 11 and 12, New Orleans may come out sluggish allowing the Cowboys to jump ahead early.  If the Cowboys’ defense can contain Drew Brees and the Saints, NFL experts pick Dallas to win in a close one.

NFL Expert Pick – Cowboys (+3.5)
