NFL Betting Lines – Will Randy Moss Return To New England?

Posted by Marcello Messina on 3/17/2011 10:15:12 AM

Wide receiver Randy Moss says that he would like to return to play with the New England Patriots this NFL betting lines season.

NorthBet Numbers: New England Patriots went 14-2-0 ATS last season.

Despite ending on bad terms last year, Randy Moss claims that he would still like to play football under coach Bill Belichick.

Moss was shopped around quite a bit last season, playing for a total of three NFL teams.

He was traded away by the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings only two days after their Week 4 matchup with the Miami Dolphins, which was on October 4.’s Mike Reiss reported a verbal altercation between Moss and play caller Bill O’Brien at halftime of their Week 4 victory, marking Moss’ last game for the Patriots.
However, after playing four games with the Vikings, Moss had only recorded 13 catches for a total of 174 yards. Minnesota’s organization decided to cut ties with the 34-year-old wideout and placed him on waivers.

The Tennessee Titans picked up Randy Moss on November 3rd; they were the only team to submit a claim. During his eight-game stint in Nashville, he made only six catches for 80 yards and 0 touchdowns.

Now, with an expired contract and attracting no attention from teams, the free agent has realized how great he had it playing in New England.

In an interview with KFAN 1130-AM on Wednesday, Moss had this to say about his home, “If you’re asking me where my heart and where I’m happy is, I love playing with Tom Brady. I love being coached by Bill Belichick.”

He claims that he understands why the Patriots traded him, and that he does not hold a grudge.

“Well, I just told y’all this is a business, man. People have to understand the nature of the business. It’s not just a sport. The sport comes along with the business. If you really don’t think it’s a business, then why they sitting there, fighting over $9 billion”, Moss said.

I would love nothing more than to see Randy Moss return to New England.

Discounting the fact that the Patriots believe Deion Branch gives them a deep threat (Branch only had two catches longer than 25 yards during his 13 games in New England), Tom Brady is still lacking a receiver that can make consistent grabs down the field.

Who fits that profile better than Mr. Moss?

If the Patriots don’t call the name of any potentially elite receivers in this year’s draft, they just might give that Crazy Hot Chick a call back.
