NFL Betting Lines – Romo Done For The Year, Cowboys Finish Strong

With two NFL betting lines games remaining in the season, Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo will be placed on injured reserve.

Dallas Cowboys (5-9) at Arizona Cardinals (4-10)

Arizona +6.5

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had hoped that Romo would be able to return this week from a broken collarbone he sustained in a week 7 41-35 loss against the New York Giants.

Romo did not have surgery on the fracture and his timeframe to return was estimated between six and eight weeks.

The three-time pro bowler, however indicated he still had discomfort and with Dallas officially out of the playoff picture, Romo decided to shut it down for the year.

With backup quarterback Jon Kitna at the helm and interim head coach Jason Garrett calling the shots, the Cowboys are actually an impressive 5-1 ATS in their last six NFL betting lines games.

The Arizona Cardinals meanwhile, have only covered in 4 out of 14 games this season and they looked absolutely terrible in a 19-12 loss against the Carolina Panthers last weekend.

Against the worst defense in the league, the Cardinals managed just 218 total yards and a lucky fumble recovery in the end zone by Arizona wide receiver Steve Breaston, resulted in the lone touchdown of the game for the birds.

Interesting to note, Breaston also has the highest passer rating (79.2) on the team after completing one of two passes for 17 yards on the season.

Arizona’s offense ranks 31st and 30th in passing and rushing offense, respectively.
