The New York Jets had so much promise going into their Week 7 NFL betting lines bye week.

However, it appears as though the Jets lost may have lost all of their momentum.

Prior to Week 7, New York looked as though they would easily finish the season atop of the AFC East, make it to the postseason, and maybe even the Super Bowl.

They were 5-1 with three divisional wins (beating the Patriots, Dolphins and Bills) while losing by only 1 point to Baltimore in their opening game of the NFL betting lines year.

But starting with their 9-0 shutout loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 8, New York has not looked like the same confident, egoistical team that came into this season.

Since Halloween, the Jets are 4-3 - this includes beating the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns both in overtime games.

The biggest reason for the Jets’ bamboozled state is their lack of production on offense. They have scored 9 points or less in all four of their losses this season – which stems mainly from their inexperienced quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez has been playing horrendous as of late – so bad, in fact, that New York head coach Rex Ryan actually debated benching him against the New England Patriots two weeks ago.

The 24-year-old quarterback has a 56.4 passer rating or lower in each of New York’s losses this NFL betting lines season.

Sanchez is in the midst of a huge funk right now, having lost two straight games, both to divisional rivals.

During those games, he had a 44.17 completion percentage, threw for 380 total yards (averaging 190), and no touchdowns, but he did manage to accumulate four interceptions.

I just can’t picture myself betting on a team led by a player like that, and therefore I recommend you don’t either.

Pittsburgh is walking away with a win this NFL betting lines Sunday. Period.

Marcello’s Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers: 19 New York Jets: 9

Messina Mention: The New York Jets have scored 9 points or less in 30.77% of their games this year.

NFL Betting Lines Pick - Pittsburgh Steelers (-240)
