NFL Betting Lines – New Era Beginning in Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted a quarterback and wide receiver as their top two picks this NLF betting lines year.

NorthBet Numbers: Cincinnati Bengals were 4-12 ATS this season.

Could the Bengals already be replacing quarterback Carson Palmer and wideout Chad Ochocinco?

Cincy’s quarterback has publicly stated that he hates being part of the Bengals organization and that he wants out of Cincinnati. On March 1st, he said, “I have $80 million in the bank. I don’t have to play football for money. I’ll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere.”

Additionally, the Bengals’ most prized possession, their 33-year-old wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, tweeted two weeks ago that his ‘time is up’ in Cincinnati. He also hinted at possibly playing for Bill Belichick in New England this upcoming season.

So, with their top two players (both over 31 years of age) leaving this season, the Bengals had no choice but to draft replacements.
In the first round, Cincinnati drafted Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green – a 6’4”, 211’lbs route runner – as the fourth overall pick. Green was the most complete wideout to enter the draft, which is why they picked him prior to their quarterback.

Cincy drafted their next franchise quarterback in the second round, with the 35th overall pick. Andy Dalton from TCU is said to be the next leader in Cincinnati, and rightfully so.
The Bengals, again, did not necessarily choose the best player at that position, but rather the most NFL-ready athlete. Dalton is one of the best rookies at making intelligent decisions when in the pocket, especially when under pressure.
