After their disaster of a game on Monday against the New England Patriots, the New York Jets host the fading Miami Dolphins this NFL betting lines Sunday.

The Jets completely broke down in all facets of the game against the Patriots. New York’s top-ranked defense allowed 326 passing yards and four touchdowns through the air and their offense managed just a field goal.

New England quarterback Tom Brady completed 72.41 percent of his passes and threw zero interceptions, ending the game with a 148.9 passer rating.

On just 18 carries, Patriots running back BenJarvis Green-Ellis rushed for 72 yards (averaging 4 yards per carry), adding a pair of scores on the ground.

This week, though, I expect Jets head coach Rex Ryan to have his unit back to form. The Jets met Miami in Week 3, and had their way with the Dolphins.

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez totaled at least 20 yards to four different receivers, amassing 256 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions the last time he faced Miami.

New York running back LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 70 yards on 14 carries (an average of 4.7 yards per carry), including a touchdown.

To make matters worse for the Dolphins, they will be without  their top wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, who is sitting his third straight NFL betting lines matchup.

Brett’s Prediction: New York Jets: 26 Miami Dolphins: 18

Nielson Notice: The 45 points scored against the Jets was the most points scored against the Rex Ryan since he was a defensive coordinator for Baltimore in 2005.

NFL Betting Lines: New York Jets -5
