The NFL has punished the Detroit Lions franchise for unruly proceedings with an unspecified NFL betting lines Kansas Chiefs player.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell dispatched the Lions penalization on Friday after the team violated the league’s policy in regards to contacting players under contract that are under contract with another team.

A report from ESPN states, “The NFL says the Detroit Lions have violated the league’s policy against tampering and ruled they must forfeit their upcoming seventh-round draft pick and exchange fifth-round picks with the Kansas City Chiefs.”

According to the league, the Lions publicly commented about their desires to attain a certain Chiefs player, going as far as directly soliciting the player and his agent.
The fifth-round draft pick swaps won’t change all that much, as it leaves Detroit with the 23rd pick instead of the 9th.

The Lions were impressive ATS last NFL betting lines season and if their quarterback Matthew Stafford can manage to stay healthy for more than four games, expect big things out of the Motor City.
