NFL Betting Lines – Chiefs Underdogs At Home Against Ravens

What an NFL betting lines year for the Kansas City Chiefs. After going 4-12 last season, there wasn’t much expected of Kansas City in 2010.

Under the direction of first year head coach Todd Haley, the Chiefs put together their best season since 2005 (during the Dick Vermeil era).

From 2006 to 2009, the Chiefs only produced one winning season, going 19-45 overall.

Haley was brought in during the offseason, and helped correct many of the mistakes and personnel issues Kansas City had on both sides of the ball.

Previously the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals, Haley created an offense that produced career years for quarterback Matt Cassel, third-year tailback Jamaal Charles, and fourth-year wide out Dwayne Bowe.

Kansas City also finished first in the NFL in rushing with an average of 164.2 yards per NFL betting lines game.

The Baltimore Ravens meanwhile, posted the second-best record in the AFC at 12-4, but lost the tie breaker with AFC North division winner, the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4).

Apart from a Week 2 defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals, all of the Ravens losses came against division winners. The combined record of the opponents the Ravens lost to was an impressive 43-21.

The Chiefs are 7-1 at home this NFL betting lines season so this won’t be an easy game for the Ravens.

If Baltimore can limit the big play from Charles out of the backfield, Baltimore will be in good shape. The Ravens haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher since Arian Foster did it five weeks ago in an overtime 34-28 win for Baltimore.

The Ravens have the playoff experience and will make it through this NFL betting lines weekend.
