NorthBet Numbers: Cincinnati Bengals were 7-9 ATS this season.

The 31-year-old signal caller demanded that the team trade him, and even stated he would contemplate retirement if Cincinnati kept him. WCPO-TV in Cincinnati also reported on Tuesday, March 1 that Palmer told a friend he “will never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again.”

WCPO-TV’s report also claimed that Palmer said, “I have $80 million in the bank. I don’t have to play football for money. I’ll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere. I’m prepared to live my life.”

Clearly, Palmer isn’t too happy about how the Bengals organization is moving forward and ‘improving’ their team. The major transaction last season with Cincy was when they signed 36-year-old free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens.

Owens proved to only increase the amount of headaches in Cincinnati rather than the amount of wins. Him and BFF Chad Ochocinco looked like they were more focused on having a good time than winning ball games.

The Cincinnati Bengals went from leading the AFC North with a 10-6 record in 2009 to being last in their division at 4-12 in 2010.

I really can’t blame Carson Palmer for wanting out of Cincinnati.

He was already thinking about leaving the Bengals before their disaster last season, and with the huge backward slides this team has taken, I completely understand him.

The 2003 first overall draft pick wants to win a Super Bowl, and there is no way that he will be able to accomplish that feat in Cincinnati.

The Bengals have only reached the playoffs twice with him under center – in 2005 and 2009 – both times losing their first NFL betting lines postseason game.
