NFC North Bet – Green Bay Packers Host Dallas Cowboys

Posted by Marcello Messina on 11/7/2010 10:56:02 AM

This North Bet matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys will be a low-scoring affair, featuring two stagnant and injury-riddled offenses.

(1-6) Dallas Cowboys at (5-3) Green Bay Packers
Live from Lambeau Field – WI
Kickoff: 8:20 PM EST Sunday, November 7, 2010
Broadcast: NBC

NorthBet NFL Betting Online:
Dallas Cowboys +7.5
Green Bay Packers -7.5
Total 45.5

It’s been an up-and-down season for the Packers so far. In Week 2, Green Bay lost to the Chicago Bears by 3 points, followed by a 2-point victory over the Detroit Lions.

The Packers then lost the following two weeks to Miami and Washington in overtime, each time by a field goal.

Two weeks ago, they beat the Minnesota Vikings by four points and last North Bet Sunday, Green Bay beat the New York Jets 9-0, reaching the red zone just once the entire contest.

The Packers seam to have the tendency of adapting their opponent’s level of performance – good or bad – this season. The Dallas Cowboys are obviously under-performing this year and will be lucky to finish with five wins.

Dallas has lost four consecutive weeks in a row, falling to the Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Although they have been averaging 25 points per game over their last four games, a lot of it has come in garbage time.

Opposing teams have scored 33.5 points per game against Dallas. Cowboys starting quarterback Tony Romo has been ruled out of play for the remainder of the season with a right collarbone injury and it appears as though even owner Jerry Jones has given up on this North bet season.

The backfield duo of Felix Jones and Marion Barber have been unproductive with the Cowboys ranking second-to-last in rushing yards.

Do not even think about believing Dallas wide receiver Roy Williams when he says, "We can go 9-0 (and make it to the post-season)." Please.

Marcello’s Prediction: Green Bay Packers: 24, Dallas Cowboys: 13

AFC North Bet: Under 45.5.
