The Cincinnati Bengals will hand the Steelers their first back-to-back losses of this North Bet season.

Cincinnati needs to stop their four-game skid right now if they wish to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. This victory will count for double because not only will they become 3-5, but it will also leave Pittsburgh, their AFC North Bet division rivals, with a 5-3 record.

The Bengals appear as though they are doing all the right things except winning.

In their past four games, Cincinnati has scored 87 points, an average of 21.75, but losing by just one score in each contest.

While their offense is putting points on the board, the Bengals defense is simply not pulling their weight.

Their pass offense has clearly been performing effectively with Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer scoring at least 2 touchdowns in each of his previous four games this North Bet season. He has also completed 62% of his passing attempts for 1,148 yards in those weeks.

Their rushing offense has also played well, averaging 122 rushing yards over their last four games.

The Bengals’ defense, on the other hand, cannot seem to stop even the least potent of offenses - the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cincinnati has permitted a total of 108 points since their Week 4 matchup against Cleveland.

But believe it or not, the Bengals will indeed put a halt to Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers this North Bet Monday. Due to Pittsburgh’s recent resurgence of Roethlisberger back in the lineup, their play calling is looking more and more pass-happy every week.

Their number one running back Rashard Mendenhall has seen his carries diminish from 27 to just 15 in three weeks, with head coach Mike Tomlin stating that he wants to continue reducing his load.

Although, little does Tomlin realize that his strategy of throwing on 57.41% of downs will not succeed against the Bengals this North Bet Monday.

Cincinnati limited Miami’s Chad Henne to just 217 passing yards and no touchdowns last week, while forcing him to throw an interception last week.

The Bengals rank 9th in the NFL against the pass, allowing just 9 touchdowns through the air this entire North Bet season (recording the same number of interceptions).

Marcello’s Prediction: Cincinnati Bengals: 24, Pittsburgh Steelers: 13

AFC North Bet: Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5).
