This NBA lines Wednesday, the Charlotte Bobcats will walk into the Pepsi Center hoping to take advantage of the Melo-less Nuggets.

The Denver Nuggets traded their 4-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony on Monday, February 21 to the New York Knicks.

Since the blockbuster deal that included 9 players and a first-round draft pick, Denver has performed quite well.

In their first NBA lines matchup without Melo, the Nuggets defeated the Boston Celtics by a score of 89-75.

Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin stepped up and led both teams in points scored. He accompanied his 18 points with 10 rebounds, and shot 61.5 percent from the field.

Unfortunately for Denver, Martin was absent from the Nuggets matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday with the flu.

Small forward Wilson Chandler – who was traded to the Nuggets in the Carmelo deal – subbed in as Martin’s replacement.

Although Chandler did score 20 points, and fellow former Knicks teammate Danilo Gallinari lit up the board with 30, Denver couldn’t find it in themselves to prevent the Trail Blazers from scoring 32 points in the fourth quarter, nor besting them in overtime. In the end, Portland won the game 107-106 in OT.

This NBA lines Monday, Kenyon Martin returned to action, and sparked enough enthusiasm in to his team to rally past the Atlanta Hawks.

The Nuggets beat the Hawks 100-90, with Denver shooting guard J.R. Smith stealing the show.

Smith only played 25 minutes, but managed to score a team-high 19 points, making 60 percent of his field goal attempts and 50 percent from long distance.

Expect Denver to continue their quality play when they face the lowly Charlotte Bobcats (26-33) this NBA lines Wednesday.

Brett’s Prediction: Denver Nuggets: 113, Charlotte Bobcats: 93

Nielson Notice: The Denver Nuggets are 25-7 when playing at home this season.

NBA Lines Pick: Denver Nuggets (-7)
