Yao Ming’s 24 minutes-a-game limit at the start of the NBA lines season still may have been too much for the injury-prone center.

Yao once again is hurt, this time dealing with ankle problems.

NBA Lines
Houston +3.5
Charlotte -3.5
Total 198.5

Although the Rockets NBA lines 2002 first overall draft pick is out, Houston has somewhat adjusted to playing without their 7' 6" center. Since 2005, Yao Ming has yet to complete a full season.

The Rockets have been starting Brad Miller in place of their injured star and although Houston is 4-10, all-star prospects Kevin Martin, Aaron Brooks, and Luis Scola seem to be gelling well together when healthy.

Starting point guard Aaron Brooks has been injured since November 6, so the Rockets have had to look elsewhere for production.

The Bobcats meanwhile, have lost two straight and are vulnerable to Houston’s athleticism. A victory here for the Rockets, without two starters, would be a huge mental NBA lines win for Houston.
