The Dallas Mavericks are currently tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for second place in this NBA lines season’s Western Conference standings.

The Mavericks and Lakers are both sitting with 48 wins and 30 losses, six-and-a-half games behind the leading San Antonio Spurs.

This NBA lines Friday, the Mavericks will have to fend for the second spot in the West against the top-seeded Spurs.

Unfortunately, I can’t imagine Dallas grabbing sole control of that silver medal just yet. As usual, the San Antonio Spurs are continuing to provide their fan base with excellent basketball; they have won 8 of their last eleven matches.

While they are coming off of a humiliating 110-80 defeat to the Miami Heat, San Antonio has proved this NBA lines season that they are always quick to recover from damage.

Of their thirteen losses this season, the Spurs have only been beaten once in a consecutive manner. This occurred on their two back-to-back games versus the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics on January 4 and 5.

The infamous trio that has been playing together since the season of 2002-2003 leads the San Antonio Spurs. This trio includes shooting guard Manu Ginobli, point guard Tony Parker, and center Tim Duncan. Though, the youngest of the three, their 8-year-pro Manu Ginobli appears to be leading the charge this NBA lines year.

Ginobli has averaged a team-leading 17.8 points per game to date this year; also recording just over 1.6 steals per match. The 6’6” guard has even posted a 42.8 field goal percentage, and a 34.2 3-point shooting percentage.

It will be interesting to see if Dallas’ above-average defense (10th overall, allowing 96.5 points per game) can handle the chemistry-filled Spurs.

Brett’s Prediction: San Antonio Spurs: 109, Dallas Mavericks: 92

Nielson Notice: The Dallas Mavericks have lost two of their three matchups with the San Antonio Spurs this season.
