NBA lines: New Team in the Eastern Conference

The New York Knicks finalized a three-team NBA lines deal Tuesday, receiving Carmelo Anthony.

This trade will surely shakeup the balance in the Eastern Conference with the Milwaukee Bucks getting the first taste of the new-look Knicks on Wednesday.

The Knicks already acquired arguably the best power forward in league, Amare Stoudemire this past summer, and now have one of the league’s elite perimeter scorers in Carmelo Anthony.

However, the Bucks surprisingly stout defense, is only allowing 92.8 points per game.  Bucks coach Scott Skiles makes sure his team is defensively inclined. Milwaukee is the third best defensive team in NBA lines.

Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut, is considered to be one of the best defensive centers, and he’ll draw Stoudemire for an assignment.  Bogut will have his hands full with Stoudemire averaging 26.1 points per game.

In their last meeting Bogut held Stoudemire to just19 points.

Furthermore, the first time Carmelo Anthony played Milwaukee, he was held to a mere 14 points.  But on the other hand, the next meeting Anthony accumulated 38 points.

Milwaukee will find it difficult defending both Stoudemire and Anthony.  With Skiles’ defensive tactics the Bucks will be able to contain the two for the majority of the game, but it’s too much firepower, in the end, for Milwaukee.
