NBA Lines: Dwight Howard Leads Orlando Into Chicago

Posted by Ashley Carmichael on 1/27/2011 11:34:22 PM

Whoever said NBA lines regular season games weren’t important?

This Friday, the fourth-seeded Orlando Magic visit the third-seeded Chicago Bulls.  The Magic are just one and a half games back from the Bulls in the Eastern Conference standings.

These two teams have met once already this season, and the Orlando Magic came away with a convincing 29-point victory.  Orlando all-star center, Dwight Howard, recorded 13 points and had 12 rebounds in the win.

Chicago was outrebounded 21 to 44.

Howard currently ranks second in the NBA in rebounding averaging 13.4 boards per game.  He’s been unstoppable this year recording 34 double doubles in 44 games.

On the other hand, Chicago has been playing some of their best basketball as of late, winning 22 of their last 30 games.

Orlando meanwhile, has gone 16-12 over that same span.

Chicago has struggled this NBA lines year guarding big men, so I give the edge to the Magic and Dwight Howard in the paint.
