Early Tuesday morning, former Denver Nugget, Carmelo Anthony, was traded to the New York Knicks in an 11-player, three-team NBA lines deal.

To Win Eastern Conference
Miami Heat -130
Boston Celtics +175
New York Knicks +3000

So far this month, Anthony leads all scorers averaging 31.1 points per game.
New York’s Amare Stoudemire is actually second in the league averaging 26.1 points per NBA lines game.

With the addition of Anthony, Knicks instantly become contenders for an NBA title run. Currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Knicks are looking to make a deep NBA lines Playoff run.

It is, however going to be difficult for New York to adjust to this acquisition since both Stoudemire and Anthony demand the ball so frequently.  Clearly their scoring numbers will decrease, but we’ve since this situation work out in Miami.

As the second half of the season begins, New York is now a threat to take the Eastern Conference title. With two all-stars and a notable supporting cast, the Knicks could possibly sneak in to a two or even a one seed.

This time last year, New York was looking forward to acquiring Lebron James in the upcoming offseason.  Now Anthony and Stoudemire have brought hope to a New York fan base that hasn’t been to the NBA Lines Playoffs since 2004.

But, what’s next for Carmelo?  People questioned Lebron James’ decision when he ‘took his talents to south beach.’   The media scrutinized him and skewed his image.

 How will Carmelo Anthony perform?

He’ll suit up this NBA lines Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
