Miami Heat forward LeBron James could miss his third consecutive NBA betting lines game this Tuesday versus the Atlanta Hawks because of an ankle injury.

(26-15) Atlanta Falcons at (30-12) Miami Heat

NorthBet Numbers: Miami Heat is 19-22-1 ATS this season.

James had missed the Heat’s past two matchups because of a left ankle injury that he suffered in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week. Miami has lost both their games since LeBron’s injury - to the Denver Nuggets, 130-102 and the Chicago Bulls, 99-96.

The injury doesn’t appear to be too serious however, as the 2-time MVP apparently asked teammate Dwayne Wade whether or not he should have played through the pain Saturday against the Bulls.

Wade obviously disapproved of James’ early return, claiming that he should understand the “big picture” because “it’s not the playoffs. [They] don’t need guys sucking it up to that extent where it’s going to hurt them in the long run.”

LeBron currently leads the Heat in scoring average (25.4 points) and assists per game (7.2) as well as steals per game (1.5).
