The Hokies have been untouchable this year in conference play, reeling off eight consecutive victories and the chance at an undefeated ACC college football betting lines championship if they can get past the Seminoles.

A tough 33-30 defeat against Boise State to open the year was unexpected, but a 21-16 defeat the following week, at home, to unranked James Madison was thought to be a sign of the apocalypse.

Since those losses, however Virginia Tech has been impressive, sporting a boisterous 9-1 record ATS.

In comparison, Florida State – minus a midseason hiccup – has been dominant on the defensive side of the ball, surrendering just 17.8 points per game (11th in the nation).

The Seminoles defense leads the nation in total sacks (43) and is averaging at least one interception per game.

Sophomore defensive end Brandon Jenkins has been a terror, recording 12 sacks on the year en route to being one of five Florida State players to receive First-Team All-ACC honors.

This one’s a tough call, but I love the Hokies leadership in favor of the Seminoles athleticism.
