TCU was trailing 17-14 a minute into the 3rd quarter, in large part due to a couple of costly interceptions thrown by quarterback Andy Dalton. SMU was able to capitalize on the turnovers, scoring ten consecutive points in the second and third quarter to take the lead.
However, Dalton would freshen up just two minutes into the third, leading the Horned Frogs on a scoring tirade that propelled them to victory. The senior signal caller threw an 11-yard score to Bart Johnson to put TCU up 21-17 and then proceeded to lead his offensive unit on two consecutive touchdown drives.
Typically known for their defense, Horned Frogs safety Tejay Johnson fittingly returned a 19-yard interception for the final score of the game putting TCU ahead 41-24.
The Colorado State Rams, meanwhile, had their quest for an undefeated season squashed in week 1 and followed that up with two more defeats to unranked opponents.
Although the Rams pulled off 36-34 victory against Idaho last weekend for their first college football betting lines victory of the college football betting lines season, they don’t stack up well to hang long with the Horned Frogs.
TCU has won by an average margin of 29 points per game this college football betting lines season against the likes of some quality opponents including Oregon State, Baylor, and SMU.
