NBA Lines - The Timberwolves Will Be The Most Exciting Team To Watch
After finishing out the 2010-11 NBA season with a horrendous 17-65 record, the Timberwolves show much promise for the future.
This Minnesota team is one of the youngest in the league and is making the right moves to put them in a spot to win games. With the NBA Line’s newfound all-around big man, Kevin Love, averaging 20 points and 15 rebounds throughout last season Minnesota has great expectations.
Kevin Love has exceeded all expectations, from coming off the bench in the 2009-10 year to setting the longest consecutive streak of double doubles in the following year. This is a guy you can build a franchise around.
He can grab rebounds like Charles Barkley and has a smooth jumper. Love out on an amazing performance in January when he grabbed 31 rebounds and scored 31 points in a single game, the last person to do that in NBA Lines was Moses Malone in 1982.
Minnesota has built quite a squad around Kevin Love with many young athletic players. Michael Beasley and Anthony Randolph have been key factors to this teams great promise.
These three forwards helped Minnesota become NBA Line’s leading team in rebounding last season, with 44.4 per game.
Not to mention this year’s NBA Draft, where Minnesota landed the number two overall pick and drafted Derrick Williams, who was second team All-American.
This guy is a stud, at 6’8’’ and 241 pounds Williams has range to shoot, outstanding rebound ability and can defend plenty of the league’s bug men.
Furthermore the Timberwolves added depth to the guard position, finally acquiring their 2009 lottery draft pick Ricky Rubio.
Rubio has been playing professional ball in Spain since 2005 and is a flashy guard who can put fans in the stands. In the backcourt Minnesota resigned Wayne Ellington and Wesley Johnson, both key scoring elements to the team. Now with a solid point guard who can distribute the ball, Minnesota should be a fun team to watch and a potential playoff NBA lines team in 2011.
