NBA Lines: The Oklahoma City Thunder, Big Winners
This past week, the NBA lines has been busy with numerous trades as the league’s trade deadline approached.
Los Angeles Lakers -125
San Antonio Spurs +200
Dallas Mavericks +600
Oklahoma City Thunder +1000
The Oklahoma City Thunder made some strong moves, to support their young nucleus of talented stars.
The Thunder traded forward Jeff Green and center Nenad Kristic to the Boston Celtics in exchange for guard Nate Robinson and center Kendrick Perkins.
The Thunder found exactly what they needed to make a run in the Western Conference playoffs, a quality, unselfish big man. The 7’ 0” Perkins is an aggressive presence in the paint.
On the other hand, the Boston Celtics gained what? Another shooter, who will see limited time with prolific scorers surrounding him. Jeff Green is averaging 15 points per NBA lines game while shooting 43 percent from the field.
However, both Ray Allen and Paul Pierce have better averages in scoring and shooting percentage.
Oklahoma City also sent D.J. White and Morris Peterson to Charlotte for Nazr Mohammed, another big body to add to their frontcourt.
The Thunder are the biggest winners during this year’s trading frenzy in the NBA.
Don’t be surprised if the Thunder make a deep run in the playoffs, knocking off the notable favorites in the West. You can now put Oklahoma City on the map as an NBA Lines Championship team.
