NBA Lines – Sacramento Kings Considering Relocation

Posted by Marcello Messina on 2/22/2011 8:08:11 PM

Reports stemming out of Sacramento indicate that the NBA lines Sacramento Kings franchise is seriously considering relocating to another city in California.

Northbet Numbers: Sacramento Kings are 22-30-1 ATS this season.

For nearly a decade now, the Kings have been trying to find new funding partners to invest in the replacement of their aging current stadium, Arco Arena. It is scheduled to be renamed the Power Balance Pavilion on March 1st of this year.

After numerous failed attempts to build a new, revenue-generating arena however, the Kings’ organization is calling it quits and contemplating a move to Anaheim’s Honda Center.
The deadline to apply for relocation is March 1st, according to NBA lines regulations.

Marc Stern from ESPN reports, “NBA commissioner David Stern publicly confirmed for the first time Saturday night at his annual All-Star Weekend news conference that the Kings have had discussions with Anaheim officials about a possible move.”

Messina Mouthful: The Kings might face some heat from other NBA lines board members, especially from Los Angeles, with Anaheim being just a 35-minute trip from LA.
