Barely three weeks after the New Jersey Nets rejected a trade offer from the Denver Nuggets involving Carmelo Anthony, the Nuggets have started up a new deal with two other teams.

Denver is attempting to orchestrate a new deal that includes the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves that would ultimately send Anthony to the Knicks.

Northbet Numbers: Denver Nuggets are 22-26-3 ATS this season.

In the rumored trade, New York would part ways with Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry, sending them to Minnesota. The Timberwolves would trade Corey Brewer and a first-round pick to Denver and the Nuggets would also receive Wilson Chandler from the Knicks.

If this deal were to occur, Anthony would receive a 3-year contract extension worth $65 million.

New York is currently 2nd in the Atlantic division, sitting 11.5 games behind the Boston Celtics.

If the season finished today, the Knicks would be a playoff team. However, the addition of a star like Carmelo would catapult New York to a real contender in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks currently sit at +3300 to win the Eastern Conference, and are worth the gamble as a nice future NBA lines bet payout.
