While the media has been focused on NBA Lines All-Star Carmelo Anthony’s future with New York, Knicks center Amare Stoudemire has averaged 33.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game during their winning streak.
Stoudemire has led the Knicks to be the top scoring team in the league, averaging 108.5 points per game.
The Boston Celtics meanwhile, beefed up their front line with offseason acquisitions and alongside 2008 Defensive Player of the Year, Kevin Garnett, the Celtics have held teams to 91 points a game this season.
Furthermore, Boston has the second best road record in the league at 9-3.
The Celtics also have more depth than New York. With Garnett, Shaquille O’Neal, Jermaine O’Neal, and Glen Davis available to stop Amare Stoudemire, the Knicks will find it difficult to score in the paint.
Amare’s backup goes by the name of Timofey Mozgov…Exactly.
Expect a tough fought game, with Boston increasing their win streak to eleven and ending New York’s run.
