NBA Lines - Carlos Boozer Asks Trajan Langdon For Nickname
NBA Power Forward Carlos Boozer and former NBA shooting guard Trajan Langdon were more than just Duke Blue Devil alumnus, they were Alaskans.
Known for his deadly, record-setting 3-point shooting at Duke from 1994-1999, Langdon earned the nickname, "The Alaskan Assassin."
After three years in the NBA as a reserve guard, Langdon moved to the Euroleague, capturing two championships in 2006 and 2008 during his 9 year European career.
With the announcement of Langdon's retirement from basketball this past June and reports surfacing that fellow Alaskan, Carlos Boozer, will be playing in an NBA stars exhibition tour due to the NBA lockout, it seems only fitting that "The Alaskan Assassin" nickname be passed on to Boozer.
Boozer will reportedly be joined by Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, Rajon Rondo, Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Love for the NBA's version of the "And One Tour."
Reports are stemming that LeBron James has contacted former XFL player Rod Smart for the rights to the "He Hate Me" nickname.
